Ryan joined Gibson Thornley in 2025, seeking a practice with a hands-on approach to delivering well-crafted Architecture. He was drawn to the practice’s strong emphasis on designing through physical model making, alongside its commitment to sustainability through longevity and the circular economy.

He completed his studies at De Montfort University and the University of Nottingham, where he was nominated for the AJ Student Prize. Prior to joining Gibson Thornley, he worked on a range of community and residential projects in Southampton.

For Ryan, good architecture should be simple, well-detailed and create valued spaces that are designed to last.
