George joined Gibson Thornley Architects in 2025, having long admired the studio’s commitment to architectural clarity and sustainability. He was seeking a role with a stronger design focus within an ambitious and expanding practice.

He has since contributed to a range of early-stage projects, bringing originality and rigour. Previously, he worked on large-scale social housing projects at Karakusevic Carson Architects across the UK, specialising in Passivhaus design and drawing on his Passivhaus Designer certification. His work involved close collaboration with local communities and housing providers, challenging perceptions of social housing through a focus on material quality, pride of place, and the eradication of fuel poverty.

For George, good architecture is both poetic and pragmatic and should be at the forefront of positive change.
